Join us for a rare and powerful adventure, a 7-day liveaboard expedition in Croatia combining world-class sailing with elite-level freediving. Guided by Wavysail’s expert skippers and legendary freediver William Winram, this experience is designed for all levels ready to explore depth, resilience, and personal transformation. -You will be sailing through Croatia’s most stunning islands whilst anchoring in remote bays for breathwork, deep water sessions, and skills development. More than a freediving course or a sailing adventure, this is a full-body, full-mind immersion. -You will be part of a small crew, learning by doing, listening to a few stories from William and your skipper, and taking home skills that will serve you well in adventure and in life.

William Winram & Dave Immelman
William Winram is an ocean explorer and world record freediver with an unmatched passion for the sea and human potential.
His teachings combine underwater exploration on a single breath of air with a more inward journey through breath work and yoga to enhance one’s overall experience.
Equally at ease on a breath-hold below 145 meters (475 feet) or in the shallows while tagging sharks, including great whites, in some of the most remote corners of the world’s oceans, he translates his experiences into captivating storytelling through photography, film and public speaking. IUCN Oceans Ambassador, Fellow International of the Explorers Club and founder of the Watermen Project, William continues to support ocean research and to assist other humans on their journey to their full potential.
Dave Immelman will skipper this sail & dive adventure. Dave is a world-leading skipper with over 600,000miles of Ocean sailing - he will mentor and teach you the ropes for a maximum sailing experience!

The itinerary here is a guide - the actual route will be adapted to the crew and the local weather. We will build the trip to maximise the sailing and diving opportunities, as we can - this is not a cruise, it's a sailing adventure.

Day 1 - Arrival and Orientation
- Welcome aboard, settle in, and meet your crew.
- Safety and route briefing with your skipper.
- Opening breathwork session with William to decompress and ground.
- Dinner under the stars, plus a story or two from lives spent at sea.
Day 2 - Foundations of Depth (Sail to Šolta island)
- Sail to calm waters off Šolta.
- Freedive session: Enjoy warm up sessions where you will be observed in dive technique as it relates to finning, duck diving, body positioning, equalisation and so on. Each student will dive with William so he can make notes on what needs to be focused on to get you to the next level.
- Afternoon sailing techniques: sail trim, reefing, helming basics.
- Evening unwind: stretch, breathe, and swap sea stories.
Day 3 - Training the Mind (Šolta to Vis)
- Deep session: body adaptation, freefall, relaxation. Building on the previous days in-water session, we focus on specific skills identified as requiring improvement on Day 2, along with an approach that helps the body adapt to the depths, freewill skills, and importantly, relaxation.
- Mindset workshop: breathe and focus under challenge.
- Navigation practice: chart plotting and weather routing.
- Optional night snorkel or sit-back tales of extreme dives and heavy-weather crossings.
Day 4 - Depth and Drift (Vis to Bisevo island)
- Freedive the Blue Cave area (Bisevo Island), with stunning light and geography.
- Advanced breath control in dynamic ocean conditions.
- Afternoon: sailing manoeuvres and anchoring drills.
- Wind-down with shared reflections and low-lit laughter whilst enjoying numerous beautiful photos and video clips from various expeditions along with several documentary films to inspire you on your free diving journey.
Day 5 - Deep Dive Immersion (Pakleni Islands)
- Static apnea hangs and safety-focused depth sessions.
- Skills: rescue drills, technique refinement, equalisation hacks.
- William’s behind-the-scenes dive stories and photography tips.
- Gentle yoga and recovery breathwork on deck.
Day 6 - Flow & Freedom (Pakleni to Split)
- Final morning breath dive - still, present, powerful - practicing all you've learnt under observation. You will be guided on areas you still need to work on and how to make the most on your continued journey in free diving.
- Smooth sail back to port.
- Celebration dinner ashore, and maybe a final tale or two.
Day 7 - Farewell & Disembark (Split)
- Farewell photos, debrief, and gratitude.
- Disembark mid-morning

Oceanis 46 - Despacito
This beautifully maintained Oceanis 46, built in 2019 gives us a perfect platform to explore above and below the waves. Plenty of space on board with great facilities, she features a stern platform allowing easy access to the water and wide, spacious decks, perfect for sailing, watching the world go by, or practicing breath work with William.
Below decks
Below decks, there are five cabins and plenty of space for equipment - Despacito allows for relaxation below decks with personal space and a large saloon for dining, discussion and working.
FAQs
Do I need sailing experience?
You do not need any previous sailing experience for this trip - it is a 'hands-on' sailing trip under the expert guidance of our Skipper who will adapt to your wishes
Do I need to be an experienced diver or freediver
This is designed as an introduction to Freediving, led by one of the world's finest teachers. The trip is open to all levels of experience and, with just six places available, we will be able to adapt to your individual needs.
Is it suitable for single travellers
Absolutely! - we have a small group with a maximum of 6 persons on board. There are two single cabins and two double cabins. As a single traveler, you will have the privacy of your own cabin.
What time do we join and leave the boat
You should aim to arrive at the boat between 2pm - 4pm on the first day. We will give precise instructions to help you find the yacht, which will be at ACI Marina, Split.
Disembarkation will be after breakfast on the last day. We will be in the marina the night before disembarkation but please leave plenty of time between expected disembarkation and your flight just in case of delays
What is the refund policy
We recognize that circumstances can mean changes to your plans become necessary. Our refund policy is that the deposit is fully refundable up to 8 weeks before the trip.
At booking, you also have the option to take an additional booking insurance which provides a full refund right up to day of departure for the most common reasons for needing last minute cancellation, such as illness.
In all cases, please contact us early and we'll work with you to find a solution.
Do I need specialist equipment
Absolutely not! - We will provide all safety and other equipment you need for both the sailing and freediving elements. We will provide you with a kit list in advance, but on this trip it will be simple holiday clothing.
