Overview
Our trip starts and ends at the bustling and beautiful city of Split. This is a hands-on sailing experience under expert supervision. It promises to be a real sailing adventure hosted by a skipper with hundreds of thousands of sailing miles behind them. You will be fully immersed in all aspects of sailing including passage planning and victualling, as well as actually sailing this beautiful yacht. The relaxed schedule offers time to stop at some of the wonderful ports along the coast and explore at leisure. With a maximum of six crew, we can adapt the itinerary to suit individual wishes. The trip suits singles and couples (we have double and single cabins available) and there is no previous sailing experience required. Given the skipper's experience it will also suit people who want to get some practice sailing miles or hone their existing sailing skills. We can take a sextant with us to practice celestial navigation in a relaxed and sociable atmosphere if desired.

We will stop at several villages along the Croatian coast, where you will have plenty of time to explore ashore and, with a small group, we will adapt the itinerary to your wishes.
No Experience Required
This is a perfect trip for those with limited sailing experience. The relaxed pace and experienced skipper, who is also an instructor, makes this the perfect introduction to life at sea.

Emily Caruso
Emily grew up in Somerset, England and has spent the last 18 years sailing professionally, leading crews on unforgettable ocean adventures. From skippering Gipsy Moth IV—Sir Francis Chichester’s legendary round-the-world yacht—to training Clipper Round The World crews, Emily has a wealth of experience navigating the world’s most incredible and remote destinations.
With an MCA Master 200 unlimited ticket and an RYA Yachtmaster Instructor qualification, Emily has shared her expertise with thousands of sailors, from novices to seasoned adventurers. Her fervent belief in making sailing accessible, enjoyable, and truly transformative is at the core of her work.
Itinerary
The itinerary here is a guide - the actual route will depend on the wishes of the crew and the local weather. We build each trip around the group and take account of your wishes as we go so no two trips will be exactly the same - this is not a cruise, it's a sailing adventure.

Day 1 Split Marina
You will join our yacht at ACI Split Marina from 2pm. After stowing your luggage in your comfortable cabin, we will have a full safety briefing.
The rest of the day will be spent getting to know your fellow crew, with dinner either on board or in the bustling city of Split, depending on the wishes of the crew.
Day 2 - Exploring Solta
After breakfast on board, we will spend the morning 'passage planning' together before setting sail before lunch. We will head for the quiet bay of Necujam where we will anchor overnight. This is a beautiful bay on the island of Solta which we can explore at leisure.
Day 3 -Sail to Milna
After breakfast, we will set out for Milna. On the way, you will have plenty of opportunity to helm or discuss any aspect of sailing with your skipper.
Day 4 - Stari Grad
A short sail to the wonderful town of Stari Grad. A beautiful old city with a relaxed pace of life.
Day 5 - Stari grad to Vis or Komiza
Depending on the wishes of the crew, we will head to either Vis town or Komiza on the island of Vis, located almost half way to Italy.
Day 6 - Flex day
Day 7 - Vis or Komiza to Split
After breakfast, we set sail for Split.
Day 8 - Saturday - Departure after breakfast
After a relaxed breakfast, completion of log books and sharing of experiences, it's time to say our goodbyes.
If you have not already done so, take time to visit Split and the UNESCO protected site of Trogir.

FAQs
Do I need sailing experience?
You do not need any previous sailing experience for this trip - it is a 'hands-on' sailing trip under the expert guidance of our Skipper who will adapt to your wishes
Is it suitable for single travellers?
Absolutely! We have a small group with a maximum of 6 persons on board. There are two single cabins and two double cabins. As a single traveler, you will have the privacy of your own cabin.
What time do we join and leave the boat?
You need to arrive at the boat by 4pm on the first day.
Disembarkation will be after breakfast on the last day. We will be in the marina the night before disembarkation, but please leave plenty of time between expected disembarkation and your flight just in case of delays.
What is the refund policy?
We recognize that circumstances can mean changes to your plans become necessary and the trip will be covered by our regular cancellation policy - see booking terms and conditions. In all cases, please contact us early and we'll work with you to find a solution.
Do I need to be vaccinated?
You need to be fully Covid vaccinated to join our Croatian adventure sail.
