A big ocean trip needs preparation - food, fuel, water, charts and much more. Our 5 crew members are spending this week on board "Aurora" under the watchful eye of Nick Leggatt (Skipper) and Nick Moss (1st Mate) learning just what is required to make a safe, comfortable and enjoyable passage of over 2,000 nautical miles from Cape Town to St Helena island.

We'll be casting off and heading out to the Ocean on the 20th March - then spend almost three weeks in total self sufficiency on board until we arrive to the welcome smiles of St Helena. By then, our five crew members will have become close friends, working together as a team, looking out for each other and have memories that will last a lifetime. They will also have learned just what it takes to plan, prepare and sail the Atlantic Ocean.

We still have slots available in August and October for our Cape Town - St Helena - Cape Town exploration. No experience required. Learn, Sail, Explore.
