We are thrilled to announce that Wavysail has been awarded the title of Best Adventure Sailing Company by "Best of British Getaways 2023"
It is with real excitement that we can announce today that Wavysail has been awarded TWO amazing awards by "Best of British Getaways" magazine.

After being nominated by our customers, Wavysail has been awarded
"Best Adventure Sailing Company 2023" by the judging panel at Best of British Getaways.
This award is a testament to our small, but passionate team at Wavysail who have given so much over the last three years as we've built the business as well as to our amazing customers and many friends who have supported us with so much feedback and helpful advice. Thank you to everyone and, we promise this is only the beginning of the journey.
Open Oceans: UK Adventure Travel, Social Inclusion Champion of the year
Wavysail was built out of real passion for the Ocean and the desire to help people from all backgrounds and levels of sailing experience experience life at sea. This is why we are especially proud that Best of British Getaways also awarded us with the overall title of
"UK Adventure Travel, Social Inclusion Champion of the year"
This award recognizes the creation and launch of our pioneering "Open Oceans" fund which we set up last year to offer a fully funded place on each of our trips for those who would either not have the means, or the confidence to otherwise experience the positive benefit of adventure travel.
This fund is about People and about giving everyone equal opportunity. We set up the fund with Inclusive adventurer, Kate Appleby and our first "Open Oceans Grant" was awarded on our Scottish adventure Sail from Oban last August. Read more about Rohan's story here. With over 400 applications, we have now rolled this out to ALL our trips and welcome anyone to apply by filling in a simple online form.
Open Oceans is made possible due to the generosity and spirit of partnership we find with other 'like-minded' organisations. For example, Berghaus deserve a special mention for generously donating kit to our first award recipient and last week we welcomed St Helena Government as an official partner and contributor to the fund.
We are so grateful to Best of British Getaways for both of these awards - but, we are only at the start. There are even more exciting plans ahead. Thank you for being on the journey with us.
